Thank-you Brian for this reply. That procedure was well above my paygrade but now I've learned something new and that will come in useful in future too. It worked well for one of the fonts which I have now removed.. But the other unwanted embedded font shows in the pdf file as ArialMT. Of the Arial family, I only have Arial and Arial Black on my machine. I searched for them and found nothing. I wrote in ArialMT in the font family box but the 'find' produces nothing. Re-exporting the pdf file still claims to have some embedded ArialMT, though. I guess I'll just live with that. Thanks again for the help.
