What version of LibreOffice are you using? (If you dare to say "the
latest version", you will be awarded multiple demerit points!) This
behaviour has been reported as a bug - which is claimed to have been
corrected in some versions. You may want to add your evidence, if
appropriate, to the bug reporting system.
Possible workarounds you could try:
o Go to Slide Show | Slide Show Settings... and select an alternative
starting slide.
o Hover over the relevant slide in the Slides panel. Do you see a bar
including Start Slide Show? Does that do what you need?
o Start the slide show (wherever it starts). Right-click the screen
and select Go to Slide > and select your desired starting slide. This
technique works best if you have given your slides meaningful names.
