Maybe I can help;

       (1) the best video player I've found to view any of this media is
VLC;
              this can be found with reviews at the Gizmo's site -
             http://www.techsupportalert.com

       for further response, see interspersed below,

Subject: [libreoffice-users] Problem viewing embedded videos on Windows
To: [email protected]

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to view embedded mp4 videos in a pptx
presentation on Windows.

   [.mp4 videos can be viewed with VLC;
       if this is located within a PP, then LO's version should open it as
well - although I suspect that maybe it's not a PP video (that x) so
possibly MsFt has again changed their settings to be incompatible]

This works fine with LO 5.1.2 on Debian, but the same version on
Windows only gives me a big black question mark where the video should
be. (Same behaviour with older LO releases).

   [haven't a clue]

Converting the file to odp makes no difference, I also tried
extracting the videos, and they play fine in Windows Media Player, so
codecs doesn't seem to be an issue.

   [how about saving the video to your machine, then opening with VLC]

The videos are H264 with no sound track.

Any help appreciated!
