I think we know that it's better to use Thunderbird, Claws or web-based
ones such as GMail or anything else that works on more than just 1
platform.

Afaik the only thing worse than Outlook is Outlook Express.  Choosing a
Microsquish-specific one tends to be very limiting.  Does Outlook still not
have "threading"?

"The Bat" seems to be great but it's Windows-only.  Evolution is a great
"drop in" replacement for Outlook but only works on Linux and doesn't seem
to be on tablets (Outlook itself is).

All just my own personal opinions and i've not chosen my own email system
particularly well either but it suits me quite well and is widely used.
