Thanks Robert. I knew it would be something like that, but hadn't thought of selecting outside the dialog frame. Right-clicking in the dialog does nothing much, nor does clicking on the title bar.
But I'm finding that trying to select the dialog box, as opposed to the controls, is a very hit-and-miss affair. The first time I tried it enclosing the whole box in a selection worked and I got the menu for the dialog box. After that it look as if I'm selecting all the controls in the box, bit not the box itself. Very odd.
