You have probably added a page background. You should check the menu Format > Page > Area, and verify that it is set to None. Also, if you are using one of Microsoft file formats to save the document, please switch to the LibreOffice ODT native file format and use the Microsoft DOC/DOCX file format only when you have to share the file with other users (the Microsoft file format is less robust and more malware prone than the LibreOffice ISO standard file format).
