Are you able to create and save an empty .odt?

If so, does copying to it after saving empty .odt work?

Is it possible that the source file has locked text?

Good afternoon
Another incomprehensible behavior arose.

I open a new document, copy text from a text file and try to save the document as .odt.
Yet, nothing happens.
I tried to save the document in different locations, but that does not change anything. Creating a document in the same way in Word (which I rarely use) causes no problems.

How can I fix this very annoying behavior.
Thank you
Thomas
