Hi Chris,
this is how a master document looks here in special navigator of master
document:
Text
TOC
Text
Link to first chapter
Text
Link to second chapter
Text
.
.
.
Link to last chapter
Text
Index
Text
I'm using this document since many years for German Base Handbuch.
Only the Text-section could be edited.
First "Text": Title of the book - *.png
Last "Text": Back of the book - *.png
"Text" will be followed by a chapter, so I set this as the Subtitle for
every chapter.
If I wan't to edit a chapter I could do it by mouse → right mouse button
→ edit. The chapter will be opened as separate document. I won't use
this, because I fist edited the separate *.odt-files and then I start
the master document.
By the way: I created content in every chapter in sections. A special
section for the content I want to see in the master document. TOC and
Title of the separate document should't be shown in the master document.
So: What do you want to edit in a master document?
Regards
Robert
