However, looking at my 25.2.x writer:
* Open settings * Expand "Languages and Regions" and in * "General" make sure the correct language is chosen * "Writing aids/help" (sorry I am looking at Spanish interface): make sure Hunspell is selected (and other dictionaries if installed) I see someone suggested LanguagTool, which, if installed, will appear in the Languages and Regions settings. I still use it, but am increasingly finding it a pain for its "style checks." It is not needed for basic spell checking.
