With recent versions 24?, 25 and 26 of LOBase to a Mariadb on my home
network, I have been experiencing a blocking connection error, using
the MySQL/MariaDB <Connector.

"TLS/SSL error: SSL is required, but the server does not support it"

Other connection types also fail:
a. ODBC returns the error, in spite of the correctly registered
database name:

"[unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found and no default
driver specified]"

By the way, the ODBC database browser window fails to show any
registered databases, although the registered names and file paths,
however, are displayed in the LO Database Options table.

b. MySQL (JDBC) returns an error :
"Driver class "" could not be loaded"
(although "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" is entered in the field "MySQL JDBC
driver class")

I was able to continue to use the MySQL/MariaDB <Connector to overcome
this problem for a while by installing LO from the LO website rather
than the same ones available from OpenSUSE, but I prefer to take all my
software, as far as possible, from the one source. The newest OpenSUSE
Tumbleweed LO versions continue to fail to this day.

Can anyone tell me what can I do to recover from this situation?

Kindest regards
Harvey
