Are you perhaps talking about “deleting” files from the start center? In
that case the files aren’t actually deleted, they are just removed from
the list of recently used files. You can still find them if you click on
“open file” and navigate to them with the file chooser.

Otherwise, if you want to make a feature suggestion the best way to do
it is to open a bug report on https://bugs.documentfoundation.org so
that we can keep track of the discussion and implementation more easily.
