Charles -
I don't know what you want to do with the lines, but it occurred to me
that maybe you could create an empty table and get the effects you want
by playing with the column widths, row heights and cell borders. And
maybe joining cells if necessary.

Hi All,
Word is really persnickety re: horizontal lines.
Perhaps, Libre Writer handes this better?
I've watched many YTs, read many AIs and chatgpt'd over this.
I want to create 5 horizontal lines but be able to adust the length of each
line AND the spacing in between the lines.
Everything I've seen/read suggests you do the following, none of which
works for both goals.
1 - Borders > Bottom Border
2. Shapes > line - draw the line to the desired length but that won't allow
spacing adjustment between the lines.
3 - type in 3 dashes or underscores .... can't adjust the line length
Anyone solve this conundrum in Libre Writer?
Thank you,
Charles.
