You can use the "-cwd" option to qsub/qrsh. This will make job run in
same directory from which the job was submitted. Thus, if you are in
~/project/foo and use 'qsub -cwd', the job will try to chdir() to
~/project/foo on the compute node before starting (and throw an error if
this chdir() fails).

There is also the "-wd" option, with permits you specify an arbitrary
directory in which the job should run.

I'm not aware of a "-d" option to qsub.

What are some other ways to accomplish this?

Thanks,
