Did you even look at the hwloc APIs yourself??? We needed to make sure that the way we call the hwloc APIs is correct, as hwloc has code to control the amount of toplogy detection it performs. And don't give yourself too much credit, we pointed out that hwloc is the way to go as far back as 2009.
