I don't think you can record resource requests in accounting but I have seen
someone who recorded all the resources in the accounting string (-A) which
does end up in the qacct file.  A jsv could do the relevant work of copying all 
the
hard resources to the accounting string if users are not inclined to do so.

yep, but they are in the plain accounting file which you can parse.
