sge_share_mon has been in the source tree since... forever. Not a lot of people have asked for a command line interface for viewing sharetree usage data and thus it is not published as a supported tool. However, sge_share_mon is used by the official testsuite, and works with almost all versions of Grid Engine & Open Grid Scheduler.
