Hi Dave, Do you have a link to the hwloc building issue on Solaris with your fork of Grid Engine? I did not hit compilation issues with hwloc on SPARC & AMD64 Solaris (have not tried x86 Solaris yet) for my version of SGE - I fixed some minor misc. issues when I tested & ported GE 2011.11 to Solaris 11 Express, but I can't recall all the specific details... However, let me know the tickets and see if I can point you to the code we used to handle the Solaris specific hwloc stuff...
