I've done this just with job numbers. I submitted the "worker" jobs as held jobs (to prevent any race hazard - I'm not sure if that's a real worry or not), then submitted a "done" job dependent on each of the job numbers returned from the above submissions. I then let slip the dogs of^W^W worker jobs, and waited for the response for the "done" job. This is probably not the most efficient way of doing things, but it's dead easy to do, and seems to work quite well.
