if one use rockscluster the sge will be configure with all.q and you can run jobs and even openmpi code out of box one major problem with sge for a long time are lack of documentation on integration with applications, IMHO, sun sge eng doesnot really care about enduser apss or doesnot try to understand the apps But in the web there are many site has good docs and howto that show you how to do variour things that are not in sge docs regards laotsao Sent from my iPad On Apr 13, 2012, at 11:09, Skip Coombe <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Lionel, > > I am pretty much where you are learning about gridengine. > > Regardless of which direction you choose (I also recommend command line) > check out > http://www.bioteam.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/02-SGE-Admin-Install.pdf > > In fact, I just discovered there are 5 pdf's in this training series: > http://bioteam.net/2009/09/sge-training-slides/ > > Skip > > Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2012 13:10:36 +0000 > From: Lionel SPINELLI <[email protected]> > To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > Cc: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > Subject: [gridengine users] RE : RE : New user and new install > Message-ID: <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" > > Hello, > > thanks for this information.
