See login_shells in sge_conf(5):
Shells in this list
are only started as login shells if the parameter
shell_start_mode (see above) is set to posix_compliant.

I believe you will need to configure bash as a login shell and then
follow the instructions above. However, you should try it yourself on
your system and see if invoking bash as a login shell makes a
difference in sourcing the file or not before you even change it in
Grid Engine.
