True, I missed this.

But if I get it right (and this is what I remembered), you can get more 
information of jobs which finished in the meantime in DRMAA v2 (i.e. before the 
reconnect). If a job is gone in DRMAA v1, there are no traces left.

PS: Interesting, that you can specify also a session_id with a random number 
(i.e. reconnect to a never existing session), and you can use it for further 
submissions (behaves like illegal session id = create a new one with this 
number). And even two programs can connect to the same session.
