Thanks to the Rocks Cluster Distribution developers, participants of its
mailing list, Reuti and this mailing list, I have almost completed installing
and customizing a test cluster with Rocks 6.1 (x86_64). It has 1 front end, 2
login nodes (no round robin DNS or anything fancy like that), 1 NAS node (with
a pair of 2 TB drives in RAID1) and 8 compute nodes (2 in short.q and 6 in
long.q). More details about this cluster in

  http://wigner.research.mtu.edu/

I have been using this (and its previous incarnations as wigner.it built using
Rocks 5.4.2 and later with 6.0) as a sand box for an upcoming bigger (the
biggest by Michigan Tech's standards) HPC cluster as well as teaching
computational methods and HPC related courses in Physics and Mathematical
Sciences.

If any of you are interested in setting up a similar website for your
institution/organization (with or without using Git to manage revisions) and/or
implementing features there in (such as Google Maps in 'List of Publications')
and/or compiling/installing any of the software listed in 'Available Resources'
[and integrating them with the (Sun) Grid Engine queuing system], please let me
know. I'll be more than happy to share the information.

Best regards,
g
