I'd like to confgiure a subordinated queue but I'd like to requeue lower priority jobs. I'm running gridengine-2011.11p1-2. Under preemption section of sge_queue_conf : [...] "but with the current implementation only suspension is provided" [...] But I've read https://blogs.oracle.com/templedf/entry/better_preemption and Daniel says: . If SGE thinks your lower priority jobs are checkpointable, it will relocate them rather than suspending them. Note, they don't actually have to be checkpointable. You just have to tell SGE that they are. but I think he talks about SGE6 and not OGS (not really sure about code differences between both forks). So, I'm wondering if the Daniel's suggestion could work in my environment or if there is another option for requeueing lower priority jobs.
