Hehe - indeed. Somehow it slipped through my eyes all the time.

Can you touch the "/genomics/gridengine/soge/util/jsv/SystemJSV.genomics.pl" 
file when ypu update the parameter file? This seems to trigger a restart of the 
process to honor the changed script.
