Thanks for your help Reuti. I´m using windows 7 by now, but I want to install a Linux distribution for this project, give an advice about this. In my university, all machines are running windows (XP), I would mount the grid engine on Linux only in the server machine, all the other machines will run GE over windows. Is that a problem? I´m going to search for those precompiled binaries that you gave me, but that search will be slow beacause my internet connection is very restricted and low, by the way, thanks a lot for those urls. If you found any documentation for beginners and you can send it to me, I would be very grateful. Thanks, bye.

Hello, my name is Jonad García, I am studying software engineering in Cuba. I am very
interested in building a grid in my university, but here there is nobody that knows of
that topic. I downloaded the file "GE2011.11p1.tar" but is very complicated to
compile the code because there are a lot of steps that I don't understand. I need help,
if somebody can help me, please write me a mail. Here we have a very slow and restricted
connection to internet, so please, send me material to my mail
([email protected]). Thanks a lot.
Do you want to compile it on your own, or would it be sufficient to install
binaries? There is another fork of GridEngine, for which you can also get
precompiled binaries:

http://arc.liv.ac.uk/downloads/SGE/releases/8.1.6/

What distribution of Linux are you using?
