I'm hoping to get some idea as to the status and future of OGS/GE. As

we have no intention (or means) of paying for any scheduler version or

Hi Joshua,
I am not part of one of the forks, although I have given a couple of bits
to those who seem to want it (so perhaps that means I actually am), but I
thought I'd offer my opinion anyway.
My assessment of the libre side of things doesn't make me happy. I may
simply be wrong but, although there is a good user community, I don't see
many people contributing code, testing or documentation. That doesn't seem
sustainable to me. What happens if one or two individuals move on to other
things?
If people want a freely available gridengine to continue, I think more
people need to get their hands dirty. Beginners welcome.
All the best,
Mark
