Then please check, whether there are local configurations overriding the default for certain hosts:
$ qconf -sconfl will give you a list of all configurations, these can then be investigated by: $ qconf -sconf node42 or alike. In case they have entries which are set correctly on a global level already, the local configurations can even be removed as there is nothing to be set different for particular hosts: $ qconf -dconf node42 It was used mainly for heterogenous clusters, where different operating systems need different settings for the paths, e.g. to the mailer. -- Reuti > Am 23.11.2015 um 11:37 schrieb <[email protected]> > <[email protected]>: > > Hi Reuti, > > It is set as below and we have issue only while submitting jobs to few > execution hosts using qrsh, not all hosts > > rsh_command /usr/bin/ssh -t -XY > rsh_daemon /usr/sbin/sshd -i > > Regards, > Sudha > -----Original Message----- > From: Reuti [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Monday, November 23, 2015 4:02 PM > To: Sudha Padmini Penmetsa (WT01 - AT-Group) > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [gridengine users] Failure in launching jobs with qrsh > > >> Am 23.11.2015 um 10:17 schrieb <[email protected]> >> <[email protected]>: >> >> Hi Reuti, >> >> We did not perform any changes. >> >> Even the simple command hostname gives the same message. > > As you want to connect with X11 forwarding, what is: > > $ qcon -sconf > ... > rsh_command builtin > rsh_daemon builtin > ... > > set to in your case? > > -- Reuti > >> >> Regards, >> Sudha >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: Reuti [mailto:[email protected]] >> Sent: Monday, November 09, 2015 3:43 PM >> To: Sudha Padmini Penmetsa (WT01 - AT-Group) >> Cc: [email protected] >> Subject: Re: [gridengine users] Failure in launching jobs with qrsh >> >> Hi, >> >>> Facing the below issue while submitting jobs using qrsh to the queue. >>> >>> >>> qrsh -V -cwd -q preprod.q@host1 -l h_vmem=1G -l h_stack=128M xterm >>> ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host can't >>> open file /tmp/9572476.1.preprod.q/pid: No such file or directory >> >> Looks like you set up SSH to use X11 forwarding. >> >> - Did you change both entries in `qconf -mconf` for `qrsh`? >> - Are there any local configurations which might supersede the global >> setting? >> - Is the above statement working in case you use a simple command like >> `hostname`? >> - Do you have any custom script which tries to access >> /tmp/9572476.1.preprod.q/pid - I can't remember that it's created by SGE in >> this directory by default. >> >> -- Reuti >> >> >>> Can you please let me know the reason for these errors. >>> >>> Regards, >>> Sudha >>> The information contained in this electronic message and any >>> attachments to this message are intended for the exclusive use of the >>> addressee(s) and may contain proprietary, confidential or privileged >>> information.
