Thanks for the feedback folks. I took the liberty of creating an issue, https://github.com/apache/hop/issues/2503, to track progress on the effort to re-create this as a transform. As always, help is welcome with testing, documentation, samples and the creation of the integration tests suite to make sure that functionality is locked in and future proofed.
