@leehaut added retry to the REST client in 2.17.0. I agree this could be very useful, but I also agree with @dave-csc that we'd need to plan and design this very carefully, with a max number of retries, delay between retries, options to retry on workflow, action, pipeline, transform levels without conflicts between these levels etc. This very quickly becomes another can of worms...
