Yes, it looks correct to me, but shouldn't ServerAlias look like
ServerAlias *.external.website.com?
Not necessary but some have had problems with it:
ProxyPass / http://xx.xx.xx.xx
I'd append a slash:
ProxyPass / http://xx.xx.xx.xx/
ProxyPassReverse / http://xx.xx.xx.xx/
