Hi,

There was a similar bug that had been fixed in 2.2.4+ :
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=37770
Maybe you should consider to upgrade ?

Objet : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Error reading from remote server

Hello all,

I have (what I consider to be) a working reverse proxy configuration with
httpd, mod_proxy and mod_auth_tkt. The only problem that still persists is
related to a specific intranet service that is hosted in IIS. For the first
time, it works fine. But after a few minutes, the user gets the following error
in the browser:

______________________________________________________________________
Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /wtouch/wtouch.exe/index.

Reason: Error reading from remote server
______________________________________________________________________

Hitting the refresh button a few times successfully loads the page but, after a
while, the problem happens again. I've searched for possible solutions, without
luck; there are some people reporting the same problem (for example
http://www.usenet-forums.com/apache-web-server/42208-proxy-error-apache-2-0-50-reverse-proxy-iis.html)
 but with no answers.

The version of httpd is 2.2.3, the one that comes with CentOS 5.2. Thank you
very much for your attention, cheers,

AP
