Thanks for looking into this.
The original attempt was using a build from source. New attempt with
fresh download and simplified configure to minimise complications:
$ tar -xzf httpd-2.2.11.tar.gz
$ cd httpd-2.2.11
$ ./configure \
--prefix=/tmp/apache-2.2.11 \
--enable-proxy \
--enable-proxy-ajp
$ make
$ make install
$ cd /tmp/apache-2.2.11
$ cat - > conf/t.conf
<Proxy balancer://x>
BalancerMember ajp://localhost:8009 ping=1
</Proxy>
$ ./bin/apachectl -f conf/t.conf
Syntax error on line 2 of /tmp/apache-2.2.11/conf/t.conf:
BalancerMember Ping/Pong timeout has wrong format
and same with ping=1s and =1ms
This is on linux, SuSE 10.3
$ uname -a
Linux belinda 2.6.22.5-31-default #1 SMP 2007/09/21 22:29:00 UTC
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
but get same problem on SuSE 11.0.
