Yes it was fixed in both Ingres 2.6 and R3. Reference is INGDBA309 I'm
not sure if this patch got into OR41sp3. so I install the ingres net
patch over the top.
Anyway, I remove the icon from of end user OR installations.

I'm just curious - did you ever get to the bottom of this?
We are in the process of moving to from OR4.0 on NT to OR4.1 on XP and I
seem to recall that the default installation puts IVM in the users
startup group, so would not want this if it's going to consume vasst
amounts of resource...
