It is very sad to see this list is inactive. how people which are developing open source stuff on Ingres find answers for their questions regard to Ingres ?
I can tell you that Derby list has at least 20 posts / day , choosing a OS product with inactive
Does mailing list and support forum is a wise move ?
The problem is probably that there are too many forums for the number of people using Ingres. I suggest you consider using the comp.databases.ingres Usenet newsgroup, which has far more activity, as well as an archive of over 35,000 Ingres-specific postings.
