Hi..
I was going thro' some docs on Ipv6 configuration and came across (the
advanced routing howto). Here a piece

{
1) ip tunnel add sixbone mode sit remote 172.22.23.24 local 172.16.17.18
ttl 255

2) ip link set sixbone up
3) ip addr add 3ffe:406:5:1:5:a:2:1/96 dev sixbone
4) ip route add 3ffe::/15 dev sixbone
}

Here I don't understand why he is assigning the address
3ffe:406:5:1:5:a:2:1/96 to dev sixbone..Should'nt he assign it to dev eth0?.
What difference will it make if I also assign the address to my eth0?.

Also what is the difference between setting up a tunnel the NMBA way and the
point - point way?..

Thanks in advance.
