Well, the real problem is that the tunnel he's using is only giving him a
single address.  If he had a tunnel set up to provide him with a prefix
instead, he'd be fine.  He could set up a configured tunnel to some other
6bone site, or he could go the easy route and use 6to4 and point his default
route at a 6to4/6bone relay.

So yes, he has a local lack of address space, but it's a purely artificial
one.  He should just get a prefix and use that.

Technically, you could.  But you shouldn't need to.  It's this very mindset
we're hoping to break.  With IPv6, address space is plentiful.  It should be
easy for everyone to get a 48 bit prefix (which is effectively the
equivalent of one of the old IPv4 class A's in terms of how many subnets you
can have).  If some bureaucratic process somewhere makes this difficult,
that would be tragedy.  No one should ever have to fight for address space
again.
