the code path is different between *BSD - yes, painful for us kame team.
- NetBSD: darren reed's ipfilter
- OpenBSD: darren reed's ipfilter
- FreeBSD: FreeBSD-only ipfw (as well as darren reed's ipfilter?
not sure)
- BSD/OS: BSD/OS only
the other problem is that, none of the packet filter code is friendly
with tunnelled packet.
