        remember, apache 1.3.x IPv6 patch changes apache's internal structures
        (it is necessary to accomodate IPv6 addresses), and it cannot be
        friendly with some of the existing third-party modules.
        the above patch modifies mod_ssl as well to fit with IPv6 patch,
        however, you cannot bring in additional modules like mod_perl, mod_php,
        whatever.

        i'd recommend to use and test apache 2.0-beta, and send bug reports as
        necessary, to harden 2.0 and it gets shipped with IPv6 turned on
        by default (we need to show that there's a lot of demands!).
