Dear IPv6 & 6bone Experts:

I'm asking for your help finding an experienced professional to work on
a large IPv6 project for a government agency. Please forgive this
intrusion as I know you are all very busy people. Any help and/or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 

I'm working to find a contract Cisco Network Engineer with extensive
knowledge in IPv6 to work in Huntsville, Alabama for a year or longer. I
thought that with your extensive knowledge and contacts in the IPv6
community you might know of someone looking for a job with the following
experience, especially given our current economic environment. I would
appreciate you passing this information on to anyone who is interested
and qualified. Please have them contact me using the information at the

The IPv6 Project Lead/Network Engineer experience must consist of, but
not be limited to, the following minimum requirements:

-       6+ years experience with CISCO router configuration
-       6+ years experience with TCP/IP network Design
-       6+ years experience with WAN topologies, T-1/ISDN/FR
-       Identification of resource limitations/constraints and stating
resolution to those issues.
-       Experience with 6Bone Network
-       Membership in IPv6 Trust groups a plus:
o       6bone Network Designers Group
o       North American IPv6 Task Force (NAV6TF) 
o       6REN Designers Group
o       IPV6 Working Group (V6WG)
-       Working knowledge and access to the following a plus:
o       Joint Information Operations Center (JIOC) IPV6 Test Lab
o       Viagenie IPV6 Test Lab
o       Global IPv6 Summit in Ottawa, Ontario Canada
o       Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR) IPV6 Designers


Statement of Work

The successful candidate will design/develop a plan for an agency-wide
deployment of an IPv6 solution and a strategy for the transition from
the current IPv4 architecture.  Further, the Network Engineer will have
an in depth understand  existing WAN infrastructure and work with the
CSOC and ODIN contractors in the planning of the IPv6 transition.  The
candidate is required to participate in ARIN IPv6 working groups and to
develop test plans to test products, as necessary, and provide designs
for the IPv6 interoperability laboratory.  Travel to the IPv6 working
group meetings, agency centers and miscellaneous other trips may be
required. The candidate will also be required to perform performance
testing of Virtual Private Network (VPN) vendor offerings and determine
the ability of each to integrate with Entrust PKI.  The candidate will
be required to maintain detailed knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol
inter-workings, IP routing, IP addressing standards, and CISCO router
products.  The candidate will be expected to interface directly with the
agency customer.  This position requires oral and written briefings and
reports.
