Hello, we are pleased to announce start of betatesting at XS26 (Access to Six), the distributed tunnel broker project. Many of you looked for this moment for a long time, but now you can finally start to play with it! :)
The XS26 Project aims to create so called distributed tunnel broker, with several interconnected tunnel servers (Points of Presence) but with a centralized user interface. There's a lot of things which still need to be implemented or finished, but you are already welcome to try it, find bugs and help us to bring this service into production state. Currently we have 6 PoPs throughout Europe - 2 PoPs are already available for users, others are in process of integration into XS26's internal network and will be available soon. We've already completed the basic part of the web interface - you can create an user, tunnel, maintainer object and get a zone delegated. We use own whois server containing records for all our users, mntners and zones. In the near future, we plan to implement the possibility of changing your tunnel endpoint w/o need for changing your zones and support for dialup users. And, of course, much better web design, much more verbose help and pre-made scripts for setting up of your side of tunnel. In the future, we plan to extend our services with many more features, like servers for various services, TSP support or skinability. And, by all means, we generally aim to help the transition to IPv6 and make it easier. For more informations and the web interface itself, please have a look at http://www.xs26.net/.
