i (and multiple people around me) use the modified kernel in daily
basis, and experienced no problem. the real trouble kicks in when you
try to build programs with IPv6 support - libc contains buggy
getaddrinfo(3), and there's no getnameinfo(3) nor inet_pton(3).
also you'd need some proxying tool like wwwoffle to browse web over
IPv6 (i haven't tried rebuilding mozilla from scratch, maybe worth
a try).
as apple mentions IPv6 and IPsec in this year's WWDC program, i hope
the situation to change sooner. i really hope to see MacOS X shipped
with IPv6 enabled by default.
