I have read some documentation and forums (not all) about ipv6 multicast. About Internet ipv4: Yesterday I was broadcasting radio and television at 64 kbits/s (.ogg and .nsv filetypes) with peercast (www.peercast.org) but is not the cheap solution for homeusers. The best solution is to pay a server controlled remotely (199 $/month ...100Mbits/s max bandwith...included internet traffic 2000 Gbytes per month---> the very very cheapset Ive found).
Multicast for everybody is ideal for transmit multimedia, for multiconferencing. for gamers and for data exchange (ex: home computer with adsl conection and web server, large files in a web page could send multicast data to thousands via continuous time script or so). How ipv6 internet providers implement multicast?: Routers and servers support multicast? Data send via multicast is optimized (data to various near received users are sending in only one packet)?
