Hi,I'm using windows 2003 server as a default router which has two interfaces connect to different two subnets. It newly configured with private IP address which not connected to any outside world. It also configureded as a DNS server and DHCP server (only one subnet has DHCP supported to avoid confusing). It all works fine in IPv4. For example, two hosts from different subnets can ping each other byusing this windows 2003 server as a default router. Now I installed the IPv6 as described below:================================(1) C:\>netsh interface ipv6 install(2) register: setHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\IPEnableRouter to 1
reboot the machine. then
(3a) C:\>netsh interface ipv6 set interface "Subnet 1 Connection" forwarding=enabled advertise=enabled
(3b) C:\>netsh interface ipv6 set interface "Subnet 2 Connection" forwarding=enable advertise=enabled
Next, i wish to do the "netsh interface ipv6 add route fec0:X:X:X::/64" ...
Problem here:
***************
There is no site local subnet ID from my "ipconfig /all" view or from the netsh interface ipv6 show address.
I wonder why the "site-local" IPv6 address not shown up. What else I need to do to make it appear so that I can use it?
Please view the attached ipconfig file for reference.
Thank you for the help in advance!
Susan
