Hmm, kinda strange. The Apache mailing lists strip off attachments, so could you upload somewhere (eg imgur.com) and reference?
Also: - which version of Isis is this (I'm guessing 1.5.0)? - if you create a new app using the quickstart archetype, do you see the same error for the "notes" property of the ToDoItem?
