Hi Niel, welcome to the Isis mailing list. Um, my suspicion, on seeing those ConstPool errors, is that this is a Java8 issue, which we don't officially support.
Now I know that some users are running with Java8, so they might be able to chip in, but right now can I ask you to run on Java7 VM and report back? As for Isis' support for Java8, that's something I intend to tackle once Isis 1.8.0 is released... ie pretty soon now.
