Not currently (there is a ticket for this, I think) but there is a workaround.
That workaround is to define a view model which has a regular parented collection (this could itself be a Mixin)... similar to the HomepageViewModel within the simpleapp archetype. If the view model implements the ViewModel interface then the URL will be fixed.
