JackRabbit 1.5 DataStore - unique object space saving

Hi,

 

I am little bit not sure on the DataStore feature for JackRabbit 1.5 where
it mentions that 

 

Space saving: only one copy per unique object it kept

 

What is the unique object here (the actual blob object itself?) or is it any
how related to the primary item of the node?
