Thanks for the reminder.

Any global wide repository configuration changes have high risk to
corrupt repository, so it's important to backup everything before do
any change to your valuable repository.

It's not advised to update the cnd files after repository
initialisation. But it's safe to provide the cnd file as part of your
software distribution.
