See [1] and [2] for my past messages on this subject. To summarize: the 1.5.x version of OCM works fine with Jackrabbit 2.x and the reason why new OCM releases haven't been made is that no new features have been added since 1.5. As mentioned earlier, I'd love to mentor efforts to revive OCM, but not too many people seem to be interested in actively developing it. Prove me wrong!
