Hi all,

I'm on Jackrabbit 2.18.0 and we have a jackrabbit based software with many
installations.

For the first time we experienced a serious issue, a virtual machine hosting
our software went in "kernel panic" so it happened a reboot, all software
running on that virtual machine restarted, our software too.

Indexes for 90G, located in local filesystem disappeared and Jackrabbit, as we
already know, started re-indexing all from scratch.

Here follows some useful logs:
IndexInfos: deleting invalid index infos file: indexes_qmlq (<init> in
IndexInfos.java, line 117)
MultiIndex: indexing...
/containers/entityTypeDefinitions/entityTypeDefinition/prAddJob (100)
(createIndex in MultiIndex.java, line 1227)
MultiIndex: indexing...
/containers/entityTypeDefinitions/simpleGroup/childrenName (200) (createIndex
in MultiIndex.java, line 1227)
MultiIndex: indexing... /containers/entityTypeDefinitions/rule/usage (300)
(createIndex in MultiIndex.java, line 1227)
MultiIndex: indexing... /containers/entityTypeDefinitions/entity/prCreateEntity
(400) (createIndex in MultiIndex.java, line 1227)
...

Do any of you have any experience on this? Could you tell me if it is normal
for jackrabbit to delete all his indices in the face of a sudden shutdown?
The recovery of 90G of indices takes 10 days, so it is a situation that we
absolutely cannot afford.

Thank you all
